The average number of heat units (above 15 deg C) required for fruit maturity was 813 degree days (counted from full bloom). The heat-units accumulated between full bloom to full maturity showed the highest correlation with the number of days to maturity enabling forecasting the harvest date with an accuracy of +- 2 days
