A study on the chrome mordant with dyed silk fabric

In general, acid dyes have been used for silk dyeing, but acid dyed silk shows weakness in color fastness. To improve this defect, the silk dyed with Acid Mordant Blue 13 was treated with chrome salts solution. Some mechanical properties and dyeing behaviors of the chrome mordant with dyed silk fabric were tested in this work. The tensile strength of silk fabric treated with chrome salts solution decreased as the duration of treatment increased
