Studies on interspecific hybridization in Korean lawngrasses (Zoysia spp.)

Fourteen clones of genus Zoysia were collected from several habitats in the middle part of Korea. Crosses between them were made to examine their cross-compatibility. Among them, five typical species inhabiting Korea were selected to obtain more detailed data on the morphological aspect and growth rate. Interspecific hybrids made by crossing were compared with the open-pollinated progenies
