Calcium and magnesium content in healthy and injuried tissue of Chinese cabbage differ greatly as to quantity and concentration in the cell walls. Healthy tissue has higher amount of calcium in the cell walls than the injuried. Injuried tissue has in percent of dry matter more magnesium in the cell walls than the healthy, whereas the opposite is the case in the vacuoles
