International exchange of frozen horse embryos

Horse embryos were exchanged between Great Britain and Poland. Of 2 frozen embryos from Poland, one foal resulted, but of 7 embryos from Great Britain no pregnancies took place. The poor results obtained in Poland were probably caused by the method of transfer, i.e. flank laparotomy. In England mid-ventral laparotomy was applied
