Comparison of the gilts tested to the constant age and liveweight

Norwegian Landrace gilts were similarly fed from the age of 13 weeks till the age of 26 weeks or from 30 kg till 86 kg liveweight. The test starting time didn't influence on the average testing results. The highest correlation coefficients were observed for pigs tested in period of 30-86 kg liveweight. Among the gilts tested according to the age the correlation coefficients between daily live gain and daily protein deposition and between final protein content in the body and lean content in the carcass were found the highest
