Studies on fertilization of red currants

The red currants of the studied cultivars (Erstling aus Vierlanden, Rondom and Red Dutch) gave the best yield when the plots were fertilized with farm manure and when 100 kg N and 83 kg K or 100 kg N and 166 kg of K were supplied per hectare. Higher rates of N and K did not produce higher yields. The applied fertilization was not reflected by the size of fruits. The content of nutrients in the currant leaves was very high. (Authors)
