Influence of home-made bentonite on selected health and productive parameters in dairy cattle

Feed supplemented with bentonite (2% in dry-matter) increased milk production, elevated blood concentration of carotenes and tocopherols and reduced the content of serum ketones when given before and after calving. No significant influence of bentonite on mineral elements in blood was noted
