Effect of broiler litter used in feeding young beef cattle on its quality

The young bulls were fed traditional mixture for 287 days with addition of 10, 20 and 30% meal of broiler litter. The meat of bulls fed with higher levels of litter meal was darker and had a higher content of free water, higher water sorption ability and pH. These results prove that in the broiler excrements there occur some biologically active substances, disturbing the animal metabolism
