The aim of experiment was to determine the unitary effectiveness of irrigation in kilograms of corn obtained with different cultivated plants and to find out to what degree the amount of precipitation, soil compactness and selection of plants for cultivation under conditions of irrigation could influence the production effect of the latter treatment. Sugar beet and other roots, clover and some vegetables made the most effective use of irrigation. The highest unitary effectiveness of irrigation was observed in dry years on light soils
