Data concerning 510 Lowland Black-and-White cows divided into two groups were analysed. In the group of cows with mastitis a decrease of milk yield as well of the milk protein and fat content were observed. Differences between mean milk protein and fat percentage calculated for the lactations of healthy and sick cows were not significant
