The ration with isovaleric acid increased N-retention and digestibility of nutrients and decreased a loss of urinary N and urea N in blood of bulls in comparison to the ration with the urea alone. Concentration of isovaleric acid in the rumen fluid was the highest in bulls fed the ration with isovaleric acid
