[Histomorphological changes at sexual organs and some endocrine glands of sterile cows and heifers with regular gynaecological findings]

On the basis of histological analyses of sexual organs, liver and adrenal glands of cows and heifers, with so called without symptom sterility were gotten the following conclusions: changes on ovary were dominantly expressed by presence of follicular cysts (FC) with primary, secondary and terciary folliculs (F) and yellow bodies (YB) in different phase of growth. The presence of F and YB proved the sexual cycle in these animals and presence of FC and YB showed the periodical endocrine activity of ovaries and perhaps adenohypophysis. The secretion of uterus glands was missing in 36 cases. The absence of secretion phase was perhaps the cause of missing midation and embryo survival, because there were no histotrophics in uterus. This resulted in early embryo mortality, i.e. sterility. In 6 cases in uterus were established light forms of endometritis which did not manifest in life and that probably was the cause of sterility. Changes on tubes were numerous, which was in authors opinions the consequence of dystrophic and inflammational processes. These changes ere also connected with sterility. The established changes on cervi were within normal limits. Changes in liver and adrenal glands were minor and were not in connection with sterility.
