[The innovations in technological and technical accomplishments for quality maintaining and expence-reducing in maize drying]

This work has for its subject the innovations in the technological proceeding by drying (the oldest and also the most frequental method). By this method 98% maize quantity is conservated. The conclusions are: by applying the system of forced ventilation with unpolluted and heated air on stored grains of good condition (disregarding the moisture) the quality of corn cob can be fully preserved until its final use. Reduction of thermal energy up to 50% and increasing of the drying apparatus capacity up to 100% with only 40% of the available cob quantity for thermal energy production can be obtained by applying technological and technical solutions, dealt with in this work. Thus, the use of expensive fuel is avoided and the quality of dried grains is much better, compared with that of grains dried by the classical method. The storehouse equipped with the distributor at the entry of grains into the chamber, fully enables long term preservation of the grain quality by applying the system of forced ventilation and temperature checking.
