The highest and the most stable corn yields have been achieved on standard conventionally treated soil on both limeless-chernozem-meadow soil and pseudogley. The relatively best production results on limeless-chernozem-meadow soil have been achieved with the lowest degree of the soil treatment reduction, that is with the immediate summer tilling at full depth. Somewhat less satisfactory, but still rather good results have been achieved by harrowing without the standard tilling at full depth. The various ways of soil treatment such as autumn or spring tilling without harrowing have given various results depending mainly on the soil type. The ways of soil treatment with greater treatment reduction such as spring or zero tillage have resulted in drastically decreased yields. The ways of soil treatment with the higher degree of soil treatment reductions have resulted in a decrease of the dynamic of growth and development of corn, slower and incomplete movement, greater percentage of sterile plants etc. The reduced ways of soil treatment do not represent good conditions for the development of plants. Besides, weeds affect yield, if herbicides are used. The reduced soil treatment has had a greater effect on the changing of physical rather than chemical characteristics of the soil, and the effects of fertilizers have been reduced.
