New Yugoslav strawberry assortment

A proposal was made for the new Yugoslav strawberry assortment. The proposed cultivars are divided into 3 groups and 2 subgroups: 1. Cultivars for production orchards 2. Garden cultivars for amateurs 3. Promising cultivars. Cultivars for production orchards are of A generally Yugoslav importance, which of them will be chosen in a certain area depends on the aim of production, ecological and other conditions. For the selling in fresh condition the advantage has to be on early and very early cultivars, and for processing industry and freezing middle late cultivars. Garden cultivars for amateurs are important for growing on smaller areas. The appropriateness for growing promising cultivars in Yugoslav conditions has to be investigated.
