Breeding of poplars in the section Leuce duby and possibilities of their use in cellulose and paper production

The paper is an attempt to show the most important characteristics, possibilities in production and ways of usage of species and hybrids of poplar trees from the Leuce section, so as the usefulness of their wood for cellulose and paper. Among the other conclusions are these: by breeding it is possible to get much better hybrids with better characteristics and much more productive potentiality in relation to native (Yugoslav) poplar trees from the investigated section. Wood of the hybrids satisfies the basic criterions for usage as raw material for cellulose and paper.
