Ali, A. | Bhuiyan, A.K.M.F. | Quadir, D.A.
The Titas floodplain (Bangladesh) area is intensively cultivated with multiple cropping practices. The temporal and spatial changes of agriculture vegetation coverage over the area have been investigated using aerial photographs, multispectral scanner (Mss); data of Landsat Satellite and Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR); data of TIROS/NOAA series of Meteorological satellite. The results of the study show the potentiality of monitoring the cropping patterns with time not only for this particular area but also for the whole country. This type of technique may be used as a valuable input for crop yield forecasting models.
