Effect of seed rate on the yield of cowpea in Bangladesh
1986
Akhteruzzaman, M.
A field experiment on cowpea (Vigna unguiculata L. Walp) with five different seed rates viz., 20,40,60,80, and 100 Kg/ha was conducted at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Chittagong (Bangladesh) during the rabi season of 1984-85 to find out the optimum seed rate for the highest grain yield. The experiment was conducted according to Randomized Complete Block design with four replications and the variety used was Hathazari local. The result showed that there existed significant yield variations due to different seed rates.
