Morphology and biometry of the orbit of one humped camel

The study was made on 18 skulls of one-humped camel (Camelus dromedarius) which included 1 foetus and 3 camel calves. Paries medialis of orbit was found defected in small irregular areas. An additional foramen was present between the foramen maxillare and fossa sacci lacrimalis, which opened rostrally at caudomedial margin of sinus macillaris. Foramina ethmoidalia were double. Foramen orbitorotundum replaced foramen rotundum, orbitale and trochlear foraman. Foraman ovale was outside the fossa pterygopalatina
