Semen quality of crossbred bulls fed three different levels of energy

Two bulls of 75% Holstein-Friesian crossbred were put each on 80, 100 and 120% energy feeding as per NRC standards in a switchover design to study the effect on semen production and quality. The sperm morphology was adversely affected by 120% energy level. The primary sperm abnormalities increased significantly other parameters like mass activity, live count, total sperm abnormalities, acrosomal morphology and sodium content of semen
