In long-term effect, Mussoorie rock-phosphate was better. Purulia rockphosphate proved to be inferior. Basic slag had no residual effect on grain yield, but its residual effect on the straw yield was significant, indicating its suitability for vegetative yield. Superphosphate had residual effect for a limited number of crops, but beyond this, it may not have residual effect
