Genetic analysis of seed weight in peas (Pisum sativum L.)

A ten parent (diverse in seed weight and origin) diallel F1 and F2 progenies of pea, grown over two years, were subjected to graphic, component and combining ability analysis. Partial dominance was evidenced through graphic analysis. Epistasis was observed in F1s of both years. The component and combining ability analyses revealed importance of both the additive and non-additive gene action but the former were of prevalence
