Productive and reproductive performance of half breeds of Ongole in cross with Brown-Swiss

The number of services per conception and successful service period in cross-breeds of 1/2 Brown-Swiss x Ongole averaged 2.90 +- 0.30 and 152.27 +- 18.53 days respectively. The significant and positive correlation between age at first heat and age at first conception (0.51); and of age at first conception with the number of services per conception (0.48) and age at first calving (0.50); and between the number of services per conception and age at first calving (0.71) indicated that any attempt to minimise the number of services per conception would shorten both the age at first conception and the age at first calving
