Sulphur uptake in methionine biosynthesis in Saccharomyces cerevisiae (in Iraq)

The results showed that both sulphur and methionine were absorbed by the yeast cells, but the sulphur was obsorbed more readily. Enrichment of growth media of methionine-rich mutant with sulphur did enhance the growth but it had no effect on methoinine content in the dried cell mass
