Screening of potato clones for adaptation to the lowland tropical conditions have been going on since 1980 at the Kenya Coast. Lowland tropics germplasm evaluation has also been conducted. Yields results obtained so far indicate that there is existence of a wide genetic variability in tested clones for adaptation to the lowland conditions. The paper presents the results of germplasm selection experiments carried out at variouos research sites in the Kenyan Coast. The results are also discussed
