Possibility of the use of simplified Penman's method for calculation of potential evapotranspiration for scheduling irrigations

Simplified method for calculation of potential evapotranspiration was checked by comparison of the values of E sub (tp) obtained by use of original and simplified Penman's methods. The results of analysis show that it is possible to use the Penman's method for estimating E sub (tp) value and for scheduling irrigations under climatic conditions of Poland. The differences between consecutive three-day sums of E sub (tp) obtained by the use of both methods were less than 1 mm or 10% of real value
