The climatic conditions in 1985 favoured the occurrence of apple scab (Venturia inaequalis (Cooke) Aderh.). A strong disease epidemy was seen in orchards that were neglected. The efficacy of fungicides applied in one treatment before harvest is given. On many apple and pear varieties the brown rot caused by Monilinia fructigena (Aderh. et Ruhl.) Honey was noticed. A strong disease epidemics of currant anthracnose (Drepanopeziza ribis (Kleb.) v.Hohn), gray mould of strawberry (Botryotinia fuckeliana (De Bary) Whetzel), and raspberry diseases were observed
