Acalitus essigi Hassan - a new species in the fauna of Poland

In autumn 1983 in Skierniewice a new mite species was found on leaves fruits of blackberry. It was identified as Acalitus essigi Hassan, belonging to the family Eriophyidae. The morphology and the biology of this pest is given, the methods of its control, too
