In the years 1980-81 the content of phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, copper and zinc in feeds and water given to horses in Golejewko stud was determined. The comparison of chemical analysis with NRC requirement data indicated that the horses rations with sodium were insufficient. Deficiences of phosphorus and calcium occurred only seasonally, but too low supply of copper and zinc was noted during the whole year
