Different calcium and phosphorus level in starter mixtures with lower protein content in feeding of calves

The experiment was carried out on 40 calves from 2 weeks to 3 months of age, fed on the concentrates containing 20 or 16% of total protein and 0.65, 0.82, 0.85 or 1.1% of Ca and 0.50, 0.61 or 0.63% of P in dry matter. It was stated that irrespective of protein content in the concentrate, the level of Ca should be 0.8 and that of P - 0.6%
