Metalaxyl, the active substance of the pesticide Ridomil, is a systemic fungicide assigned to control plant diseases caused by fungi belonging to the order Peronosporales. Tomato plants were sprayed three times with Ridomil plus 45 WP at the concentration of 0.6%. It was found that metalaxyl degradation in tomato fruits is very rapid. Five days after the treatment no metalaxyl residues in tomato fruits were found
