Chemical control of spider mites [Tetranychus utricae Koch. and T. telarius (L).] on ornamental plants in greenhouses

Ornamental plants grown under cover are invaded by the red spider mite Tetranychus utricae Koch. and by Tetranychus telarius L. The efficacy of new acaricides against spider mites on roses in glasshouses and on gerbera and chrysanthemum plants, was tested. On roses the best results were obtained with Pentac 50 WP, Plictran 25 W and Plictran 600 F, Apollo 50 EC, Nissouron, and Necron 500 EC, but Pentac 25 W was phytotoxic
