Yielding of cereals in model farms in Poland

About thousand of farms, chosen to estimate the effect of mineral and organic fertilizers on the magnitude of yields of crops, their chemical composition and the content of nutrients in the soil, represented a higher level of agrotechnics as compared to the mean country level. The highest five year average yield of wheat (80% of winter and 20% of spring wheat) were 4.1 t/ha, of spring barley - 3.9 t/ha, of rye - 3.3 t/ha and of oats - 3.7 t/ha. The mean mineral fertilizer rates (NPK) varied in that period from 225 kg/ha for oats and rye to 270 kg/ha wheat
