Cockle (Anadara granosa Lin.) production evaluation in Phangnga bay, 1983-1984 [The South of Thailand]

Production survey was conducted on cockle culture in Phangnga Bay to study the management, growth and other problems. It was found that cockle seeds used for culture were imported from Malaysia and took 16-18 months culturing until harvest. The expenditure was Baht 14,069.27/rai. The production was 3.154 tons/rai and cost of Baht 18,924. Thus the farmers gained Baht 4,854.71/rai
