Two major projects on biometrics have been carried out by CARDI. Project A investigated the factors that influence the precision of field experiments in the Caribbean region. Strategies for conducting precise field experiments and computer programs enabling their implementation were developed. Project B sought to recommend suitable experimental designs for the limited resources conditions of the Caribbean region. An ancillary activity was the development of a statistical program library and an information and retrieval system for the results of field trials. Information is given on the topics, location and participation in workshops on field experimentation held in the Caribbean
