[Problems of stabilization and promotion of agriculture]

According to authors opinion it is necessary to increase cereal production in Yugoslavia mainly of wheat, corn and barley, increasing the yield per unit of area. This primarily depends on the use of mineral fertilizers. Advocates of agricultural promotion in the community need to provide experts not only for the production in socially owned estates, but research and cooperation services as well with all private farmers. A cow is a basic domestic animal in Yugoslav cattle breeding whose advantages are not sufficiently utilized. It is necessary to promote fattening of calves, pigs, sheep and poultry. Vegetable yields are low with great deficits recorded in canning industry. Therefore measures for better production and processing of vegetables are proposed. Investment theory and calculation of investment economic viability in agriculture is presented along with several analysis and prognosis methods from the Yugoslav investment practice and proposal for an investment policy in Yugoslav agriculture
