Separation of old from new tubers in species Serapias lingua L. (ornamental plant) stimulates the plant to develop new tubers. Plants morphologically not different from mother plants developed from all planted old and unslit new tubers and 50% of these plants blossomed already in the following year. Separation of new tubers by middle cut did not give results, i.e. regeneration of plants was not achieved.
