Some fungi species, exciters of bark necrosis and branch withering of some fruit trees are present in plantations in Herzegovina, central and north-western Bosnia (SFRY). The intensity of their infestation depends on locality, plant variety, climatic and soil conditions, the applied tilling and protection manner. Fungus Manilia laxa was found in some sour cherry, plum, peach and apricot varieties, Cystospora persoonii in some peach and plum varieties, Phomopsis mali in some plum varieties, Sphaeropsis malorum in some apricot and peach varieties, Stereum purpureum in some peach, apricot, plum and sour cherry varieties, Tubercularis vulgaris in some apricot and sour cherry varieties, Catenophora pruni in some peach varieties, Dematophora necatrix in some plum varieties and Armillariella mellea in some plum, sour cherry and apricot varieties. Species M. laxa, C. persoonii, Ph. mali, Sph. malorum, T. vulgaris, C. pruni and D. necatrix can develop in many nutrients in the vegetative form. Species S. purpureum and A. mellea were not cultivated artificially.
