Analysis of the first and second cycle of a study on reduced tillage for wheat
1984
Konstantinovic, J. (Poljoprivredni fakultet, Novi Sad (Yugoslavia). Institut za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo)
Wheat yields achieved at a reduced soil cultivation of the first and second cycle were at the level of classical tillage and even higher. It is important to bear in mind that these yields were realized in years with average climatic conditions. No preference is given to any region for the application of reduced cultivation, eventhough high yields are recorded in regions with greater amount of rainfall. The best precrops are: sugar beets, sunflower, soyabeans. Water content in soil is not decreased with reduced cultivation. Reduced cultivation calls for special machinery.
