Half-life of immunoglobulin IgG1 labelled by the iodine 125I radio-isotope in fluke-infected cattle has been found to be shorter (74 hours) compared with control animals where it was 100 hours. Faecal clearance of the immunoglobulin labelled by iodine radio-isotope (125I) has been proportionally higher in infected cattle, this pointing to the fact that biliary IgG1 originates basically from blood plasma.
