Analysis of combining ability variance revealed significant differences in specific combining abilities for calcium content in middle belt leaves of the investigated tobacco varieties. Genotype Ik 7-4/2 had the largest number of calcium content dominant genes. Significant differences in general and specific combining abilities for magnesium content have been found, general combining abilities predominating. Genotype "Florija" contained the largest number of manganese content genes. Variety "Dzebel 1" had the largest number of potassium content dominant genes.
