[Sugar beet bolting period and produced seed evaluation]

Sugar beet bolting occured over a relatively lenghtly time span, i.e. from the end of May to root harvest in mid-August. The most risky bolting period was found to be up to mid-July, that in which the most germinating seeds are produced. This date coincided with a bolting rate of 3,5 plants per thousand which furnished from 8O to 2500 germinating seeds per plant
