The physical and mechanical attributes which govern the efficacy of spray machines are described in relation to the wheel barrow power sprayer (Hardi, KS) and Hardi RY 15, manually operated hydraulic Knap-sack sprayer. Covers specific characteristics of the test sprayers which affect the quality of spray application in coffee. Results showed that satisfactory cover in all positions and heights of coffee bushes were achieved and the two spray equipments have been recommended for fungicide application on coffee in Kenya
