Variations between plant type of growth and yield potential of different cuttings in peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.)

This study was conducted to improve seed multiplication by cutting techniques of peanut. Two peanut varieties used were "Younghotangkong" of virginia type and "Shinpungtangkong" of Spanish type. Peanuts were planted in the vinyl house and cutting sections were inserted into sand with vinyl tunnel. All cuttings formed good roots and were transplanted into field (Jun 20). In this treatment, number of seeds per plant of all cuttings derived from stock plant was about 6-16 and 13-22 in Younghotangkong and Shinpungtangkong, respectively
