A description of the methods and materials and a discussion of the results of each of the following experiments are given: 1) effect of 3 seed rates and 3 nitrogen rates on the yield of paddy rice (var. -R); 2) influence of different sources of phosphates on yield and P content of Bluebelle rice; 3) available soil phosphorus estimations at varying levels of different phosphates at M.A.R.D.S.; 4) effect of 3 NPK rates and their interaction on the yield of Bluebelle rice; 5) effect of 3 NPK rates and their interaction on the yield of IR - 8 rice (second crop); 6) yield and ancillary characteristics in relation to time of application of nitrogen on varieties F, R and B.G. 79
