A jubilee commemoration was held by Stock Breeding Society of MAE on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of beginning of the Hungarian animal registration certificate. The article summarizes the main thoughts of the lecture held by the author himself; it introduces the main development stages, the results and the present organization of animal registration certificates.
