Efficacy of carbamate insecticides against okra fruit borer, Earias Vitella Fabricius

An experiment was laid out with 8 treatment including control to find out the efficacy of carbamate insecticides in comparison with oxydemeton methyl at their recommended concentrations against okra shoot and fruit borer during kharif season of 1981 on 'Pusa Sawani' okra variety at Gwalior (M.P.) India. On the basis of mean percent fruit infestation, yield of borer free fruits, and economics, thiodicarb 0.15% was found most effective and equieffective with oxydemeton methyl 0.03% spray
