The effect of some cultural measures including different corn cultivars, various plant spacing and different levels of fertilization were evaluated during the fall and spring season of 1980-1982. The results showed that Neelum cultivar was the most susceptible to the infestation while Dinbroviski was the least infested with the corn stem borer. Concerning the fertilization, the ratio of NPK (2: 1: 1) provided the best result based on the yield and the average number of larvae. Also the plant spacing of 20 cm gave the highest yield and least average in the number of larvae during the season
