A new attenuated hog cholera virus was cloned by terminal dilution method and interference method, and identified by neutralization with hog cholera positive serum served from NVSL, U.S.A. Its characteristics were an interference effect against CPE of western equine encephalomyelitis virus, a viral yield in some mammalian kidney cultures and a protection in vaccinated pigs after challenge with virulent ALD virus
